This was a retirement home for two generations- for a doctor-scientist couple who had spent their entire working lives in Kerala. And their parents. This was one of our first projects where we had experimented with a fusion model of combining the contemporary outlook of a modern kitchen, a glass-roof courtyard, with the rustic-raw finishes of terracotta roofing, mud vaults and exposed masonry.
